I enjoy helping in the background. I like encouraging people to be all they can be, without fear, in the here and now.

I spend my summers in my flower garden. In the winter, I imagine all the beauty in the world!

I'm proud to be part of an organization that provides a tremendous and needed service to our rural community. The members and volunteers of Pine Tree Hospice are a wonderful reminder of the power of connection and compassion. Their work inspires me to try and be my best at what I do.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, as well as (slowly) learning how to tend to my flower garden.

Being involved in and serving my community has always been something that was significant to me. When you look for local organizations that share those same sentiments it is impossible to not recognize the reputation, longevity and history of Pine Tree Hospice and the way that they have served our local communities for the last several decades. I am honored and privileged to be able to play a very small part in the delivery of our mission every day.

One of my first introductions to PTH was at our annual golf tournament and when I am not occasionally hitting the links during the summer I can be found spending quality time with my wife and young boys!

I volunteer for Pine Tree Hospice because of its power to make a difference to those grieving or facing a life-limiting illness. You don't need to go through anything alone.

In my spare time, I love spending time outside, whether it's on the beach, in the garden, or on a walk with my family.

I volunteer for Pine Tree Hospice because I believe strongly in the mission and service the organization provides. Most especially, I love and respect the people involved, and the work there grounds me in what is really important in life!!

I enjoy helping and mentoring people, so, though "retired," I find myself remaining very active in those efforts. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially in the outdoors, woods, and waters, at camp, and traveling to see new sites. I am an avid reader, especially of historical novels. I am just getting into genealogy and look forward to more time to pursue family connections, present and past.

When asked to become involved with Pine Tree Hospice, I thought about a family member and his caregiver who benefited from hospice care.  I appreciate the opportunity to contribute in some way to help others in the Central Maine region benefit from the services offered by Pine Tree Hospice.

I enjoy skiing in the winter at Sugarloaf, spending time at camp and hiking when I can.  One goal I have is to complete the Maine section of the Appalachian Trail during the summer of 2024.

When I retired 23 years ago, I was looking for a way to serve my community in a way that was meaningful and in which I could utilize the skills that I had acquired over the years. Pine Tree Hospice offered that opportunity. There were so many ways in which I could serve, both in a "hands-on" manner with clients and in "behind the scenes" indirect care. Over the years, I have been honored to work with the dedicated staff and volunteers to meet my need to be of service.

I have many interests that keep me out of trouble, but the principal one is hiking/snowshoeing. It is something that I can do either alone or in a group, and it also offers me the opportunity to travel to interesting places and utilize my photography skills to create beautiful memories along the way.

In 2022, I lost my husband, largely due to the stress caused by taking care of his aging mother. I was so grateful when I found out about Pine Tree Hospice.  I want to do my best to help families with aging family members or their caregivers who need time for self-care.

In my spare time from being a full-time real estate agent, I like to relax with friends over some delicious food and a good cup of tea. I also enjoy hiking Maine’s mountain trails during the summer and reading books during the winter nights.

When I was asked to be on the board of Pine Tree Hospice, I realized that this would be a great fit for me at this time in my life.  Pine Tree Hospice has been helping our aging community and I’m happy to be involved in such a giving organization as it enters its 4th decade of serving the Greater Piscataquis Region.

I've been calling Abbot my home for my entire life. I'm happily married to Shawn, and together we enjoy exploring new places through travel, hitting the golf course, and soaking up the beauty of nature with our sidekick/dog, Piper.

I have chosen to volunteer for Pine Tree Hospice because I strongly believe in the mission of the organization. I experienced 24-hour caregiving for a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's and understand firsthand the important role that hospice volunteers play in the health and well-being of others who are tasked with providing care for another.

I enjoy spending time with my 5-year-old twins, playing tennis and pickleball, spending time at my camp on Lake Hebron, and watching college sports and pro football.
